Police appoint commanders

PA . Wellington Deputy Police Commissioner Steve Rusbatch has announced the appointment of two new regional commanders. Chief Superintendent Bruce Scott has been promoted to assistant commissioner and is the new Region 2 commander. He will take over from Assistant Commissioner lan. Chief Superintendent Scott, aged 48, has been a policeman for 31 years. He has been the Wellington services commander since April last year. Assistant Commissioner Joyce, aged 53, began his 31-year police career in Auckland in 1958. He is currently the Auckland central district commander.
