Road safety
Sir,—l feel it is rather ironic that at present Gina Campbell is touring New Zealand on a water safety promotion, which is to be commended, but on the other hand is flouting our road rules — bragging about a stunningly fast trip from Christchurch to Timaru, and not bearing to be behind anyone. The Ministry of Transport has a difficult task trying to educate the public on road safety; the job is not made any easier by comments like that. She says that as a family the Campbells were not allowed to be second. May I ask what is wrong with being second? Seeing that Gina is contemplating living in New Zealand, I hope she will see fit to honour our road rules. — Yours, etc.,
