Aucklander tenth
NZPA Sydney Auckland’s Peter Urquhart in his Cessna 210 is lying tenth in a field of 102 in the 14-day Around Australia air race. The fleet, which includes two other lower placed New Zealand entries, is racing across the Nullarbor Plain to Adelaide where they will have a rest today. A Perth businessman, Ted Rear, in a Smith Aerostar, has dominated the handicap event from the start and appears a strong contender for the first prize of sAust2s,ooo ($31,400).
