Gondola

Sir,—Like Margaret Saunders (September 19) I was unbiased about the prospect of a gondola in Christchurch. But, after taking my first ride in Queenstown just recently, it has made me realise what an asset a gondola would be to Christchurch. It is very quiet, non-polluting and needs only a very narrow piece of land. The gondola and restaurant would provide more employment, more tourism, excellent views, and a very profitable income.—Yours, etc., KERRI WILSON. September 19, 1988.
