Van Vuuren tops scoring
Marinda Van Vuuren (Halswell) led the scoring in the women's division one basketball competition which ended last Saturday. The tall centre scored 268 points from 20 matches, an average of 13.4. Her highest match total was 24 against Checkers. Second on the table was the Checkers sharp shooter, Barbara Carr, who tallied 237 points from 19 games. Carr has been among the top 11 scorers for the last five seasons.
