Anderson cleared

The Canterbury rugby captain, Albert Anderson, is the latest in a long list of players to apply for a clearance to play overseas in the off season. Anderson, an All Black in 1983, 1984, 1985 and last year, has applied to play in Britain. His application will be forwarded by the Canterbury union to the New Zealand R.F.U. Clearances to play overseas were given to Jamie Flynn, Kieran Flynn, Vic Simpson and Wayne Smith, while one for Mark Treweek is pending.
