School music festival
Christchurch school students will demonstrate their musical talents at the Christchurch Schools’ Music Festival, to be held in the Town Hall from September 20 to 23 and October 3 to 6. The festival includes a choral and instrumental work by Felicity Williams. The work won a competition for an original composition held by the Music Festival Committee. x t More than 200 children took part in a recent holiday course in choral work and instrumental playing in preparation for the festival. The schools’ festival concerts are an annual event.
