Mall landscaping
Sir, —I endorse Vernon Wilkinson’s comments (September 7) regarding the “Great Waimairi Wall” which effectively blocks off the morning winter sun in the neigbourhood. After viewing the large display in the Waimairi District Council office foyer commending the landscaping commercial and industrial 7
projects, it is difficult to understand the granting of a permit for the construction of such an eyesore in a residential area. — Yours, etc.,
