Becker will not play
NZPA-ReuterMunich, West Germany The twice-Wimbledon champion, Boris Becker, said yesterday he would not take part in the Seoul Olympics after all because an injury to his right foot had not healed. A doctor at Bayern Munich Soccer Club, who is treating Becker, said he had ordered
him to rest for six weeks. Becker said he would fly to Seoul with the West German Olympic team next Wednesday, but only as a spectator. ‘Tm very disappointed,” Becker said. “I’ve looked forward to Seoul for a long time. Now I have to face up to going there as a spectator.”
