Addington inquiries
Crowley was declared ineligible to race until he trials twice after backing away as the tapes were released in the Second D.B. Superstar Trial at Addington Raceway on Saturday. Colin de Filippi, the driver of My Papa in the Montezumas Bag Shop Mobile Pace, was fined $5O for striking a sulky wheel after 400 m, causing his horse to break.
An objection against Ankorman, which ran second in the Latimer Motor Lodge Pace, for allegedly causing interference to Freightman at the 600 m, with resultant interference to Loveridge and Sir Alba, was dismissed after the stewards decided there “may have
been mitigating circumstances.”
Rule du Jour was declared ineligible from mobile starts after breaking during the run up in the Montezumas Bag Shop Mobile Pace.
Viewfield King (Avon City Ford Pace), which broke after 300 m inconveniencing the majority of the field, was stood down until trialling twice to the satisfaction of the stewards.
Flashdance (Harcourts Mobile Pace) has to trial twice in mobiles before racing under these conditions after losing all chance in the run up. In the same event Idle Bromac was observed to tangle stride, but settled quickly.
