Man’s tongue bitten
PA Wellington A woman bit the tongue of a man who indecently assaulted her behind the National Museum, the Wellington Police said. The attack happened about 9.25 p.m. on Friday as the woman walked through the Wellington Polytechnic grounds towards Buckle Street. Detective Chief Inspector Ted Lines said the woman was knocked to the ground, punched several times in the face till her nose bled, and indecently assaulted. During the struggle the woman bit the man’s tongue, causing it to bleed. A passing car distracted the man’s attention and the woman escaped to Taranaki Street in spite of an attempt by the man to stop her. — PA.
