China trade recognised
Three New Zealand traders have been awarded an honorary membership to China’s main trade promotion organisation. New Zealand China Trade Association’s chairman, Mr David Oram, of Wellington, a former association chairman and international trade and business consultant, Mr Stan Stanworth, of Wellington, and an Auckland importer, Mr Vic Percival, were awarded their membership to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade last week. Presenting the memberships Mr Jia Shi, C.C.P.I.T. chairman, said it was a new way for China to express appreciation to foreign friends who had made “unswerving” efforts to expand bi-
lateral trade and co-operation with China. —PA
