Name change
In March of this year Post Haste Couriers changed their name from Courier Systems. Post Haste Couriers was a stronger and more distinct branch name. Courier Systems had become a generic term for the whole courier industry. The Christchurch branch had 23 couriers working for it in Christchurch. Post Haste Couriers are believed to be the largest courier operators in the South Island having 45 couriers operating at their branches — Blenheim, Nelson, Christchurch, Ashburton, Timaru, Dunedin and Invercargill. In May of this year, Post Haste Couriers commenced a unique joint
operation with New Zealand Post. Very simply N.Z. Post will retail Post Haste Couriers prepaid tickets and satchels across the counter at 41 selected N.Z. Post Offices throughout New Zealand. (Christchurch CPO, High St, Hornby, Addington, Riccarton and Timaru.) N.Z. Post customers and other casual users have access to a nationwide guaranteed overnight courier service. Rapid communication is essential in today’s business market — Post Haste Couriers provide Christchurch and the rest of New Zealand with a total courier service offering local, nationwide and international services.
