Fund for flood relief $735,000
PA Auckland Donations for floodstricken areas hit [by Cyclone Bola gained momentum yesterday, with $276,847 collected in just one day by PostBanks throughout New Zealand. The total is now $735,752, including the $lOO,OOO Postßank gave to launch the appeal. The Postßank co-ordi-nator in Auckland, Mr John McCauley, said it hoped for more corporate donations, after an IBM donation of $15,000
and $30;000 from the Lotteries Welfare Fund. A.S.B. ! Bank’s fund rose to $100,134 yesterday and: A.S.B. offices are still accepting donations. Four companies have met the challenge set by the contractor, Green and MacCahill, to match their $25,000 donation to flood-stricken areas hit by Cyclone Bola. They [are Equiticorp, Kaipara! Excavators, In- : terpacific Equity and Wilkinson Davies.
