Mob members help Wairoa
PA Gisborne Mongrel Mob members are converging on Wairoa to help the local chapter clean up the town.
The men were making a tremendous effort, said the Maori Affairs Department assistant director in Wairoa, Mr Hemi Kingi.
From the start of the crisis they had been out
helping, first with sandbagging and now in mopping up north Clyde properties. "They have,* been really co-operative,” Mr Kingi said. “I think they feel really good about being able to contribute.”
Both the Mongrel Mob and periodic detention workers were “doing an Al job” tackling some of the heavier, dirty work.
