Heater inquiries
A big surge in demand for nightstore heaters is keeping Municipal Electricity Department staff busy.
■ “We have had lots of inquiries without even advertising,” said the M.E.D.’s consumer services engineer, Mr Angus Mac Alpine. In the last fortnight there had been 200 firm inquiries, and 50 heaters had been installed.
