The speedy colt finished fourth behind unbeaten Star Watch in the SAustIOO'.OOO Skyline Stakes (1200rh) in his first Australian outing. It was the | second time the New Zealand trainer, Colin Jillingsj has had bad luck with a lop two-year-old in Australia. Greenback’s sire, McGinty, suffered a chipped sesamoid bone after beating Marscay in the Todman Slipper Trial at Rosehill in 1982. i
Greenback could not stand on his off-foreleg after the race and will undergo an (operation on the knee before being returned to New Zealand.
