Gun pair arrested
PA Hamilton Two men have been arrested and a man, aged 25, is in hospital after what Hamilton police said was a gang-related shooting. Early yesterday a Fairfield house was surrounded by armed offenders squad members after residents reported hearing gunshots. A number of people were questioned and the injured Hamilton man
was taken to Waikato Hospital, suffering from at least two gunshot wounds. The police said his condition was serious but not critical. Later yesterday, after further investigations, two Hamilton males were arrested. A man, aged 18, has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon, and a youth, aged 16, with wounding with an intention of causing grievous bodily harm.
