Gear changes
Changes of gear have been authorised by the stipendiary stewards for the pacers, Arkwright (Nelson Cup) and Peek a 800 (Provincial Tavern Race) at the Nelson Trotting Club’s meeting tomorrow. Arkwright, which raced in an open bridle at Rangiora last Saturday, is to race in half blinds tomorrow, while Peek a 800, which pulled hard and choked at Rangiora, is to race with a tongue strap and ear plugs at Nelson.
