Umpire writing book
NZPA-AFP Karachi The controversial Pakistani test umpire, Shakoor Rana, is writing a book about his umpiring career with a special reference to his row with the England skipper, Mike Gatting, sources said. Rana and Gatting had an angry exchange of words during the Faisalabad test last month when Rana allegedly accused Gatting of cheating and the English captain allegedly used foul language. The row halted the match — which ended in a draw — for 48 hours, during which Gatting was ordered to give Rana an unconditional written apology for using abusive language.
