PA Hamilton A New Zealand record to the Aucklander, Simon Poelman, in the pole-vault highlighted the inter-provin-cial athletics meeting on Saturday. He cleared 5.04 m, 2cm bet-
ter than the previous record set by Canterbury’s Kieran McKee. Poelman also ran brilliantly to win division one of the 100 m from the national title holder, Shane Downey (Auckland).
