NZPA-Reuter Senegal Two bystanders, a mother and a child, were killed yesterday on the penultime day of the Paris-Dakar motor rally, organisers said. A spokesman for the race medical team earlier mistakenly said two journalists were killed in a car crash on the border between Mauritania and Senegal in the early evening. No further details were immediately available on the accident which was believed to have involved a press car following the rally. The accident raised the death toll during the tenth running of the ill-starred rally to six.
