Q Christchurch Drainage Board EXTRAORDINARY VACANCY PAPARUA SUB DISTRICT NOTICE is hereby given that in terms of Section 51 of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1976, the Christchurch Drainage Board at its ordinary meeting on September 30, 1987, resolved to fill the extraordinary vacancy on the Board by the appointment of a person qualified to be elected as a member. The extraordinary vacancy has been created by the resignation of Mr R. S. Leach. The Board has the option of filling the vacancy by holding an election or by appointment. The Board has chosen the latter course. In terms of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1976, electors of the Paparua Subdistrict may by notice In writing, demand that an election be held to fill the vacancy. The specified number of electors required to demand an election Is 5 per cent.
