CD-ROM work
An encyclopedia which is partly avallble on CD-ROM disk for personal computer use, will be brought out shortly in Sweden by Esselte Focus, Stockholm, a company in Sweden’s Esselte printing and publishing group. The project work for CD publication began in the late 1970 s and the disks will be issued parallel to publication of the printed volumes. In a few years time it should be possible to store illustrations and sound on the disks, too, the publishers say, and the ultimate aim is to have the complete work on CD. The printed version encompasses some 5000 pages and 200,000 entry-words. There are approximately 8000 illustrations,, including 2000 drawings.
