Gridiron on TV
Sir,—l appreciated the smooth and efficient, yet pleasant, organisation of Tuesday’s inter-secondary schools crosscountry races at Riccarton racecourse. Do we need American football or some other overseas sport on our television sets when what seemed like 1000 of our young people gave of their best in a natural Christchurch setting? This competitive, but friendly, New Zealand event is my choice of viewing. — Yours, etc.,
