Robbers’ clothing found?
A pair of gloves and other clothing believed to have been used by the pair who robbed a Christchurch sauna lounge at gunpoint on Monday have been found.
Senior-Sergeant Rob Pope said the items had yet to be shown to witnesses to verify they were worn by the robbers. They were found discarded on a property in Pauline Street, Linwood, yesterday afternoon. The robbers escaped with about $lBOO cash from the Alamein Sauna and Spa Lounge in Tuam Street.
A brown Holden car was chased from the scene but the car stopped at the corner of Hereford Street and Linwood Avenue. A man got out and fired at the wheel of the police patrol car before driving off again.
The car was later found abandoned in Pauline Street.
