General Election
Sir,—A fear of being misinterpreted has materialised in A. Griffin’s letter of July 10 to mine of June 13. None of my letters has any political bias. Objectivity is the name of the game; proportional representation the way the game should be played. I ;want fair representation for all. How can anyone linger over National’s traditional values in 150 words? Labour may be all that A. Griffin says of it but he cannot deny that, politically, itholds all the trump cards; offers all the lollies and the promise of others to come. Hence my comment about a referendum to change the method of voting. If Labour suggests a referendum to introduce the democracy that National ignores, how can I not vote Labour? — Yours, etc., L. J. ROBINSON. July 11, 1987.
