National policy
Sir,—The National Party advertisements (Phil White, June 15) are simply that — advertisements. As for National Party policy, so far the following statements on policy have been released: law and order, superannuation, broadcasting, industrial relations, indirect tax (how it affects the family and how it affects business) and science and technology. Mr Bolger has repeatedly said he will release
the remainder when he is ready and willing to do so. As Labour has already picked out several points of National policy released to suit its own ideas, how foolish it would be to disclose the entire set of proposals until the battle is called for the election. Before the 1984 election Labour did not announce any of the policies which have changed this country so radically. — Yours, etc., BARBARA STEWART. June 18, 1987.
