Social education

Sir,—David Shanks does not need to be very smart to see; that I disapprove of aggression ~- especially now that science and knowledge -have made it so super-destructive. It is one biological trait which just has to be controlled. On the strength of one particular point David Shanks proceeds to say that it is "my ethics” which seek to determine the course of biological evolution — I am not as old as that. Maybe he could abandon his sniper’s nest and expound what he believes is the source of ethics — religion, education, common sense, feminism, hedonism, or some Obscure form of Shanksism. — Yours, etc.,

VERNON WILKINSON. April 21, 1987.
