A.M.P. looks at farm purchase
PA Wellington The A.M.P. Society will extend its investment in the rural sector to include farm ownership, said A.M.P. manager for New Zealand, Mr John Dingle, yesterday. A.M.P. has purchased a half-share in an existing deer farm near Waipawa. The previous owners of the land will become A.M.P.’s partners in the 333 ha farm.
The society has also recently purchased, at market prices, about 1500 head of mixed-age deer. This herd will be managed by the existing farming partners, along with their own large herds.
