Foreign players sought
PA Hamilton The Waikato rugby union hopes to recruit British players for the coming domestic season. The union’s secretary, Reg Dow, confirmed yesterday that the union was looking for four top overseas players on behalf of several Waikato clubs.
The players would be brought to the Waikato under a sponsorship arrangement. “Some clubs — not necessarily -in Hamilton_ — have expressed interest in having overseas players and we have someone over in the U.K. keeping an eye out for us,” Mr Dow said.
