Women’s bowls final
Altha Triggs (Riccarton Women’s) will meet Amelia Lilly (Woolston Park) in the final of the Canterbury Women’s Bowling Centre’s Cham-pion-of-Champion pairs at the St Martin’s green this morning. Mrs Triggs’ lead will be Eileen Lane, aged 80, while Mrs Lilly’s lead is Nancy Wall, a second year player.
Results of yesterday’s quar-ter-finals and semi-finals.— Quarter-finals: Triggs 22, R. Bimie (St Albans) 18; Lilly 19, M. Broad (Morrison Avenue) 11; S. Hooper (Woolston W.M.C.) 28, E. Coup (Kaiapoi) 14; V. Shaw (Oxford) 18, M. Watson (Linwood) 15. Semi-finals: Lilly 21, Hooper 16; Triggs 20, Shaw 18.
