No. 8 moving south
PA Wellington The No. 8, Mark Hudson, one of the big successes of Wellington’s national championshipwinning rugby team last season is to transfer to Christchurch. Hudson, aged 26, who played for the Wellington club, is moving to Christchurch with the sales division of a computer company.
"The whole thing was only finalised yesterday so I have no idea who I will play for down there,” Hudson said. Hudson found a permanent place at No. 8 in the Wellington scrum after a leg injury sidelined Fraser Mexted. His speed and anticipation made him ideally suited to the flowing style cultivated by Wellington’s coach, Earle Kirton.
