Pistol to combat hijackers
NZPA-Reuter Peking Chinese arms experts have invented a pistol which can injure hijackers and terrorists but does not damage aircraft, the official New China News Agency said. The agency said the pistol fires specially-de-signed bullets with “a powerful anti-personnel capacity but ... which will stick to cabin walls and glass windows like a cake.”
The pistol, which has a shooting range of 15 metres, is being produced by the China Light Weapons Institute. It will be used by Chinese policemen and sold on the international market, the agency said.
