Apprentice suffers head injuries
PA Hastings The Te Aroha apprentice, Susan Wilson, is still in a serious • condition in Hastings Hospital, where she is being treated for head injuries after an accident at the Wairoa races on Saturday.
Wilson, aged 18, was knocked unconscious when her horse was brought down during the running of a maiden event at Wairoa.
She was rushed to Wairoa Hospital and later flown to Hastings Hospital, .where she was admitted to the intensive care unit.
A hospital official said yesterday Wilson’s condition remains serious.
