Sailor surprises
Timaru’s Michelle Baker has surprised herself and 129 men competitors with her performance in the world open Laser championships being sailed off Melbourne thic wppk At the end of racing yesterday Baker was lying a respectable twenty-fourth in the 65-strong silver fleet. Baker secured her place at the championships by finishing tenth at the New Zealand Laser contest in Auckland before Christmas.
