German cyclist sighted
A search for an overdue German cyclist and climber in the Copeland Valley has been called off as he is now known to have left the area. An R.N.Z.A.F. Iroquois
helicopter swept over the area for several hours after Norbert Meintrup failed to reach Mount Cook when expected on Saturday after crossing from the West Coast.
