Witnesses to accident wanted
The Ministry of Transport seeks witnesses to a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Barbadoes Street and Lichfield Street about 9.45 p.m. on Wednesday in which two men were injured. A white Vauxhall Victor or Ventura, believed to be a late 1960 s or early 1970 s model, and a Suzuki 750 cu cm motor-cycle collided.
Two men on the motorcycle suffered leg injures. The Vauxhall car left the scene.
Anyone who saw the accident is asked to get in touch with Traffic Officer R. R. Van Wieren of the Ministry of Transport in Christchurch.
