No Air N.Z. plans to move workshop
Wellington reporter Air New Zealand has no plan to move its repair workshops from Christchurch Airport to Auckland Airport. The Minister of Civil Aviation, Mr Prebble, was asked in Parliament a number of questions by Mr Jim Gerard (Nat., Rangiora) about the future of the Christchurch
workshops. Mr Prebble replied that Air New Zealand’s plans were based on commercial considerations, and planning had to be flexible enough to deal with changing commercial circumstances. However, he was not aware of any firm plan for Air New Zealand to move any facilities.
