Avon’s Lord hurt
PA Wellington The racing future of class galloper, Avon’s Lord, is in doubt after he pulled a muscle in his back Avon’s Lord, now trained in Melbourne by Jack McGreal, finished a disappointing last in the Sterling Manikato Stakes (1200 metres) at Moonee Valley on Saturday. The problem was not diagnosed till Monday and owner, Hec Tapper, of Matamata, said he would wait for a couple of weeks before deciding the horse’s future.
