Legal match started on set
One of Christchurch’s best known. lawyers married on Saturday a grand-daughter of a famous New Zealand lawyer. In a civil ceremony in Wellington, Mr Mervyn Glue married Mrs Jenepher Kahn, a granddaughter of the Dunedin criminal lawyer, Alfred Charles Hanlon. It is Mr Glue's fifth marriage and Mrs Kahn’s second. He has four children and six step-children from previous marriages. She has five children from her previous marriage.
The couple met while working on the “Hanlon” television series.
Mr Glue, who is also known as an actor, played an instructing solicitor in the opening episode. Mrs Kahn worked as adviser to the script writer. Mrs Kahn’s wedding present to Mr Glue is a silver fob watch passed on to her by her grandfather.
