Woman and female are best avoided, being male-derived words (like ladles, that also implies spare ribs from lads). “Managing” recognises the loss of youth suffered by male executives, but ignores damsels prone to similar stress in a boss role. Hence, top positions should be advertised as “manager or damager” if the underlying bias, of male-laced words, is to be faced and made straight. — Yours, etc.,
