Top surfers to compete
Some of New Zealand’s top surfers will be in action in the “Kaikoura Classic” boardriding contest during the week-end. Three members of the New Zealand team, Shane Grimes and David Boonarts from Auckland and Lyndon Kennings from Whangamata will compete against top Can-
terbury surfers during the three day contest. The Kaikoura contest will be a useful buildup for the New Zealand team members before going to the world amateur championships in England during September. About 70 surfers have been attracted .to the Kaikoura contest, making
