‘Nothing suspicious in death’

The Papanui police are satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances in the death of an elderly Northcote woman whose body was found over a stopbank near Johns Road on Sunday. Ada Mary Wade, aged 70, was missing from her Northcote home for more than five weeks. She was described as frail and suffered from memory lapses. A post-mortem examination was made yesterday and is believed to have confirmed that Mrs Wade died of natural causes. An inquest will be held.
