Rugby with a twist

A rugby tournament with a difference will be held at Lincoln tomorrow, when teams from 14 high schools will take part in the Trusteebank Canterbury College Day. Most of the competing sides will be from country districts, and, for once, the scoring of points will not be the major aim. Referees will judge the

teams on commitment to the game, a variety of skills, and other laudable aspects of rugby. There will also be a line-out competition, a contest for cheer-leaders, goal-kick-ing duels and other activities, serving to show the many aspects of the game. The tournament will start at 10.40 a.m.
