Hagley wins golf
Hagley won the Canterbury district final of the national Spalding women’s golf tournament at Coringa yesterday. The Hagley team of Miss M. Bunt, Mrs S. Burns and Mrs M. Lapslie returned a net 60, 13 under par. Kaiapoi was the runner-up, on 62, after
a count-back with Rangiora. Hagley’s card is now forwarded to the national women’s golf union for comparison with other district results. The top South Island team qualifies for the final against the two North Island regional winners at Wairakei next month.
