The wishing jellybeans

By

JACKIE HURCOMB,

aged 10. One day Jane and her mother went to the supermarket. Jane had some money to spend. Jane bought one packet of jellybeans. There were lots of different colours.

On the inside of the packet she noticed a piece of paper. It said, “Chew and make your wish. One jellybean, one wish.” Gosh, Jane thought. This is exciting. I’ll make a wish. She pulled out a black

jellybean. She wished that she was a millionaire. Jane ate the rest of the jellybeans, making a wish with each one she ate. That evening her dad brought home a milllondollar lottery ticket for her.

It was a surprise. A month later, when J Jane’s mother was reading the newspaper, she found that Jane had won the lottery. Jane’s jellybean wish had come true.
