Tipped for land yachting
Stuart Rose, who will defend his champion of champions title, and Alan Wilkinson (both Canterbury), are the favourite pair in the South Island land yacht championships, organised by the Pegasus club, at Greyleas, from tomorrow to Sunday. The venue is skm past the Black Tulip, off the Akaroa highway. Both yachtsmen will be looking for top performances as a prelude to the international land yacht competitions at Ninety Mile Beach on February 18. Twenty-six overseas entries have been received for that championship.
