Amway products
Sir,—Your article of December 7 on Amway was an example of seeking out the sensational and ignoring the substance. I am not a representative? of Amway;-:? but I have been exposed to most of their literature, recordings and marketing plans and can find no trace of religious or political overtones. They loudly support the free enterprise system, as would most business people, and that is about as far “Rght wing” as the present New Zealand Government. Why did not Mr Arthur write about the products or the marketing plan? One million people around the world are: marketing Amway and are ail earning--as much extra .income as they wish/ to. If the Consumers’ Institute-;.' spokesman had tried the. his warning would have .sounded/ different Some of the products, have” no New Zealand '< equivalent' and, friends and I have found the others’/ to be superior to,their New Zealand equivalent — Yours, etc., / ■■J' C. DRACE. *<■ / . .£ December 7, 1985. J.//
