A.I.D.S. publicity
Sir, — I have just been assailed once again by a serious female voice telling me that “anybody can get A.1.D.5., nobody has to.” According to information I, a 56-year-old mother of eight, can only acquire A.LD.S. “if a totally irresponsible homosexual donates blood for a blood transfusion. I am not a drug
addict I do not live in Central Africa where open sores may infect me. Following from the above facts, what on earth are the tax-payers doing paying millions of dollars to acquaint homosexuals with facts they are aware of. The deaths that have occurred were apparently caused by contracting the disease overseas apart perhaps from those caused to Unfortunate haemophiliacs by irresponsible blood donors so would it not be better that the millions wasted on advertising be spent on cot death research, cancer research, etc., — Yours, etc., J.
